SHEBOYGAN – Four swimmers in distress on Lake Michigan Wednesday evening in Sheboygan were rescued by a good Samaritan.

Sheboygan Fire Department said in a news release firefighters responded to the report of multiple swimmers in distress on the lake off the shore of King Park, 1615 S. Seventh St., at around 5:41 p.m. Wednesday.

When firefighters and police arrived at the scene, they found all four swimmers had been helped to shore by a good Samaritan. The swimmers were taken to a local hospital for non-life-threatening injuries, the department said.
