Worcestershire mum creates fitness apparel brand PADA

FOR some who practice yoga, aches in the knees might be the least of their problems, but if they are a young Worcestershire mother claims to have found the answer.

Hannah Burton, who lives in Bromsgrove, took up the spiritual discipline after suffering postpartum depression following the birth of her daughter during the COVID lockdown - and it was her knees that suffered. The 32-year-old experienced knee pain when doing certain poses and realised no leggings suited her needs or her knees.

So Hannah created PADA leggings, which have a PU foam knee pad insert and are designed to provide comfort and support during yoga, Pilates, and other workouts.

She explained: "I was struggling with my joints and knees after becoming a mother, gaining upwards of three stones during pregnancy, as well as facing lockdown challenges. The idea of PADA was born from my own desire to return to yoga and feel comfortable in my own skin.

"I started by inserting bra pads into my leggings, which looked a bit ridiculous, and that's how PADA's journey began. Today, we're proud to introduce a brand that not only supports physical well-being but also empowers individuals to pursue their fitness goals.

“PADA's standout feature lies in its leggings, each incorporating strategically placed knee pads that provide support during workouts. These knee pads are crafted with advanced materials, ensuring a comfortable fit while safeguarding your joints, thus distinguishing PADA from its competitors.”

Hannah has now launched PADA as a fitness apparel brand via website padatribe.com with goods also available on Kickstarter.
